Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for inspecting a property of a brake friction member for a vehicle is provided to enhance the reliability of an inspection result by reducing time required for inspecting a brake friction member. CONSTITUTION: A device for inspecting a property of a brake friction member for a vehicle comprises a transferring member, an elevating frame(28), a hitting machine(32), and a frequency measuring unit(34). The transferring member is formed in the upper part of a frame(20), thereby transferring a brake friction member(10). The elevating frame moves the brake friction member being transferred by the transferring unit up and down. The hitting machine is installed in the upper rear part of the elevating frame, thereby hitting the brake friction member moved up along the elevating frame. The frequency measuring unit inspects a natural frequency by receiving vibration generated when hitting the brake friction member with the hitting machine through a microphone(52), thereby inspecting the failure existence of the property of the brake friction member by comparing the natural frequency and a reference frequency given in advance.
