PURPOSE: A catalyst for generating acrolein by the dehydration of glycerol and a manufacturing method of the same are provided to increase the conversation rate of glycerol to acrolein by suppressing the inactivation of the catalyst. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst for generating acrolein by the dehydration of glycerol includes a carrier, a metal atom, and heteropoly acid. The carrier is made of at least one atom selected from II family atoms, III family atoms, and IV family atoms in the periodic table, or the oxides of the selected atom. The metal atoms and the heteropoly acid are carried on the carrier. The metal atom is palladium. PURPOSE: A heteropolyacid catalyst supported by silica sphere having an open pore and a manufacturing method of acrolein using the same are provided to improve conversion rate of glycerol to acrolein by reducing caulk deposition by the open pore silica support. CONSTITUTION: A heteropolyacid catalyst supported by silica sphere having an open pore comprises a heteropolyacid and a spherical silica support. The spherical silica support has an open pore structure. The heteropolyacid is supported by the support. The support has a shape repeatedly stretched from a center molecule with a branched shape. The heteropolyacid is represented by chemical formula 1, H_a[X_1Y_bZ_cO_d]_nH_2O.

PURPOSE: Mesoporous carbon catalyst carrying metal, a method for preparing the same, and a method for preparing propanediol from glycerol using the same are provided to uniformly disperse metal on the carbon catalyst through one-step process. CONSTITUTION: A silica precursor, a carbon precursor, a metal precursor, a compound with alkoxide and thiol, a surfactant, a polymerization initiator, and an acidic solution are mixed. The compound with alkoxide and thiol is selected from (3-mercaptopopyl) methyldimethoxysilane, (3-mercaptopropyl) triethoxysilane, (3-mercaptopropyl) trimethoxysilane, and the mixture of the same. The mixture is heated to obtain a suspension. The suspension is filtered and dried. The dried material is carbonized under inert gas. Silica material is eliminated from the carbonized material using an acidic or alkaline solution.

본 발명은 신규한 헤테로폴리산 촉매 및 이를 이용한 아크롤레인 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 구체적으로는 고체산 촉매로 사용되는 헤테로폴리산을 열린 기공 구조를 갖는 실리카 담체에 담지함으로써 글리세롤의 기상/액상 탈수반응에서 내부확산능력을 증가시킨 촉매 및 이를 이용한 아크롤레인 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
