    Abstract: PURPOSE: A molecular detection substrate using a surface Plasmon resonance(SPR) is provided to increase the number of nanodots and improve signal versus noise ratio. CONSTITUTION: A target molecule detection substrate using a surface Plasmon resonance(SPR) comprises: a detection zone placed on the surface of the substrate; and plural collection of nanodots placed inside the detection zone. The nanodot is functionalized to one or more probes having affinity to a target molecule. The range of detection zone is 1um^2 to 10,000 um^2. The plural nanodots form grating pattern, spiral pattern, planar concentric circle or radiation pattern. The diameter of the nanodot is 1 nm-100 nm. The nanodot contains gold(Au), silver(Ag), copper(Cu) or aluminum(Al).
