Abstract: 본 발명은 이트리아 안정화 지르코니아를 포함하는 가스 센서 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 가스 센서는 감지전극, 기준전극, 및 상기 감지전극과 기준전극 사이에 개재되는 고체 전해질을 구비하는 가스 센서에 있어서, 상기 기준전극이 이트리아 안정화 지르코니아를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명의 가스 센서는 감지가스가 기준전극 및 고체 전해질과 반응하는 것을 방지하여 센서의 성능 열화를 방지한다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A gas sensor including yttria-stabilized zirconia and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to guarantee stable drive in long term usage and maintain excellent reliability and accuracy by preventing reaction with sensing gas of reference electrode and solid electrolyte. CONSTITUTION: A gas sensor including yttria-stabilized zirconia is constituted as follows. A reference electrode comprises an yttria-stabilized zirconia. The thickness of the reference electrode is 10 micron-100 nm. A coating layer is formed on the side of the reference electrode and solid electrolyte to prevent the exposure of a joint part of the reference electrode and solid electrolyte. Paste for the formation of sensing electrode is applied on one side of solid electrolyte and yttria-stabilized zirconia is applied on the other side of the solid electrolyte.
