Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for early diagnosing gestational diabetes, which applies to pregnant women at 16-20 weeks of pregnancy, is provided to predict or early diagnose the possibility of developing gestational diabetes. CONSTITUTION: A method for early diagnosing gestational diabetes comprises: a step of quantitation of an apolipoprotein C3 expression level in the blood, plasma, or serum obtained from a pregnant mother; a step of quantitation of blood glucose from the blood, plasma, or serum; and a step of determining whether the expression level of apolipoprotein C3 is within the range of preset risk apoplipoprotein C3. The blood, plasma, or serum is isolated from a pregnant mother in the early stages of pregnancy and at 16-20 weeks of pregnancy.
