    Abstract: PURPOSE: A biocidal fungus and a biocidal method using the same are provided to overcome infection by multiple vegetative compatibility groups (VCGs), and to expand to continuous and infectious system using FgV1-DK21 for suppressing diseases caused by fungi. CONSTITUTION: A Fusarium infectious virus is artificially delivered in a biocidal fungus. The Fusarium infectious virus is selected from a group consisted of Fusarium graminearum virus 1-DK21 (FgV1-DK21), Fusarium graminearum virus 2, Fusarium graminearum virus 3, and Fusarium graminearum virus 4. A method for delivering FgV1-DK21 virus to a naturally vegetative compatibility-free strain comprises the steps of: preparing protoplasm from a donor strain containing FgV1-DK21 virus and a recipient strain; fusing the protoplasm of the donor strain and the recipient strain; and selecting FgV1-DK21 virus-infected strain in a selective medium.
