    Abstract: PURPOSE: An antibacterial material which is able to be mixed with paint is provided to ensure persistent antibacterial activity and to enhance surface activity of antibacterial ingredients. CONSTITUTION: An antibacterial material is denoted by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R1 is alkyl group of 3-12 carbon atoms. A method for manufacturing the antibacterial material comprises: a step of reacting isocyanuric acid and alkaline compounds to prepare isocyanurate; a step of reacting the isocyanurate and halogen alkyl to prepare alkyl isocyanuric acid compounds; and a step of reacting the alkyl isocyanuric acid compounds with NaOCl solution. The alkaline compounds are lithium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, or potassium hydroxide.
