    Abstract: The present invention relates to a battery heating device of an electric vehicle and, more specifically, to a battery heating device of an electric vehicle which heats a battery by using an external charging power charging the battery. The battery heating device of an electric vehicle comprises a battery powering the electric vehicle; a sensor measuring the temperature of the battery; and a passive element converting an electrical energy into a thermal energy to heat the battery. The device additionally comprises a converter or a voltage regulator which supplies an external power to the passive element and controls the supplied power. With this configuration, the efficiency of the battery can be maximally increased by increasing the temperature of the battery in a short time. Moreover, the lifetime of the battery can be extended by reducing the temperature rise time of the battery. And, the battery charging time is shorten to enable quick charge by activating a chemical reaction of the battery by increasing the temperature of the battery.
