Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmacological composition containing handelin isolated from an extract of Chrysanthemum boreale makino having an anti-inflammatory activity capable of prevention and treatment of inflammatory diseases. According to the present invention, the handelin, which reduces edema in an animal model, not only reduces expression levels of iNOS and COX-2 increased by LPS endotoxin in macrophages, but also exhibits anti-inflammatory effects for the inflammatory diseases such as rhinitis, bronchitis, hepatitis, arthritis, and asthma, thereby can help the prevention and treatment of the inflammatory diseases. Abstract: 본 발명은 염증질환을 예방 및 치료할 수 있는 항염증 활성을 갖는 산국 추출물로부터 분리된 한델린을 함유하는 약리적 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면, 대식세포에서 내독소인 LPS에 의해 증가된 iNOS 및 COX-2의 발현량을 감소시킬뿐만 아니라, 동물 모델에서도 생성된 부종을 감소시키는 한델린이 비염, 기관지염, 간염, 관절염, 천식 등 염증반응에 관련 질병들에 대해 항염증 효과를 발휘하면서 이들 질병 예방과 치료에 도움을 줄 수 있다는 점을 확인하였다.
