Abstract: PURPOSE: A protein shelled platinum nanoparticle complex and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to synthesize uniform nanoparticle by controlling the reaction time and the ratio of protein shell and platinum. CONSTITUTION: A protein shell is composed of hollow protein. The diameter of internal space of the protein shell is between 1.5 and 6nm. The protein of the protein shell is composed of six or more sub units. Pores are arranged between the sub units in order to connect the inner side and the outer side of the protein. The diameter of the pore is between 1 and 4nm. A protein shelled platinum nanoparticle complex is surrounded by the protein shell.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a biomolecular-capacitor using a protein outer cover-metal nanoparticle compound which is a bio-inorganic compound. The biomolecular-capacitor according to the present invention is applied to various fields such as a biochip, a biosensor, a bio electronic device, a next generation electric vehicle, and a smartphone by obtaining a fast capacitive time constant, high capacitance, and biocompatibility.
