    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a nano-composite with linear stretching actuation is provided to obtain the nano-composite moving vertically by synthesizing a conductive polymer through electrochemical polymerization using a template with a plurality of pores which are vertically formed. CONSTITUTION: A nano-composite with linear stretching actuation comprises: a metal substrate; a template which is arranged on the metal substrate and has a plurality of pores which are vertically formed; and a conductive polymer which is located within the pores and contacts with the metal substrate. The metal substrate is Ni, Cu, Cr, Sn, Cd, Pb, Ag, Au, Rd, Pt, Pd, In, Ru, or their alloy. The metal substrate has a thickness of 400-500nm. A method for manufacturing the nano-composite comprises the following steps: forming the metal substrate on one side of the template having the pores; and polymerizing a monomer of the conductive polymer within the pores.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A solid electrolyte polymer and a polymer actuator are provided to enable low voltage operation and to obtain superior thermal stability and chemical resistance using a cross-linked PVDF-based polymer as the polymer for the actuator. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a polymer actuator comprises the following steps: putting a cross-linking agent into PVDF-based solution after forming the PVDF-based saluting using a PVDF-based polymer powder; forming a cross-linked PVDF polymer membrane through thermal treatment after forming the PVDF-based solution into a membrane shape; coating the cross-linked PVDF-based polymer membrane with a conductive polymer solution(34); and injecting an electrolyte into the PVDF polymer membrane.
