다단계예측을사용하는인트라예측방법및 이러한방법을사용하는장치가개시되어있다. 인트라영상부호화를수행하는장치는영상의현재블록에대해하나이상의인트라예측모드후보의집합인후보집합(CS: Candidate Set)을생성하는인트라예측모드생성부, 인트라예측모드후보중 최적의하나를결정하는인트라예측모드결정부, 결정된부호화기예측모드블록에기초해상기현재블록을부호화하는부호화부를포함할수 있다. 따라서, 영상을예측함에있어서예측의정확도를향상시켜예측블록을원본블록과가장유사하게조정하여부호화데이터를감소시켜부호화효율을향상시킬수 있다.

PURPOSE: An image encoding/decoding method using multi-stage prediction and a device using the same are provided to improve encoding efficiency by improving the accuracy of image prediction by generating a predicted block most similar to the source block, and reducing encoded data. CONSTITUTION: An encoding/decoding device predicts a pixel value included in the first prediction block based on a pixel value around a first prediction block(S200). The encoding/decoding device generates a second prediction block using a filter based on the first prediction block generated by the first intra prediction(S210). The filter is a Wiener filter or not. CONSTITUTION: An image encoding device generates a first prediction block by performing first intra prediction(S200). The image encoding device generates a second prediction block(S210). The present invention provides a bit rate estimating device and a bit rate estimating method thereof which improve operation speed and accuracy and simplify performed operation. The bit rate estimating method according to the present invention comprises the following steps of: receiving a syntax element; calculating the number of symbol bins in the syntax element; and determining an average bit amount corresponding to the number of the symbol bins using a look-up table (LUT).
