    Abstract: PURPOSE: A self scheduling apparatus and a method thereof in a wireless communication system are provided to reduce the complexity of a system according to use of a multi-protocol in a CR(Cognitive Radio) system for ad-hoc network. CONSTITUTION: A self-scheduling is performed. One or more terminals transmit a frame by using a respectively different channel. A frame structure of a protocol includes a CR-Idle section, a Sensing-Sharing section, a Contention section, and a Transmission section. The channel sensing is performed by using a fixed channel sensing method or an adaptive channel sensing method in the Sensing-Sharing section. The fixed channel sensing method senses a predetermined number of channels. The adaptive channel sensing method is the number of channels which sense according to the load of primary user traffic.
