Abstract: A method for providing personalized service and a markup language in digital library are provided to offer configured context by structurizing the context systematizing the classification of the necessary meta information. An LIML(Library Interaction Markup Language) includes user ID information, one context element which is the identification tag(ID tag) including all data which is possibly generated in the interaction between the user identification. A context element comprises the information for distinguishing user and the information including to offer the personalized service based on the behavior pattern of each user centered. A use element for indicating user information has elements for personal information part and the information for personalized service based on behavior pattern. A user information element has the information for the personal identification of the user for being provided the personalization service based on the behavior pattern fitting for each user.
