    Abstract: The present invention relates to a signal transmitting method using a hybrid MIMO-cooperative communications system and a signal transmitting apparatus thereof. The signal transmitting method using the hybrid MIMO-cooperative communications system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of transmitting a first transmission signal including a CRC bit; receiving information on a channel state in accordance with an error of the CRC bit from a repeater; and transmitting a second transmission signal including at least one symbol between an STBC symbol and a V-BLAST symbol according to the received information on the channel state. Therefore, the present invention differentiates construction of the transmission signal according to the channel state in the hybrid MIMO-cooperative communications system, so may obtain a diversity gain and a multiplexing gain concurrently in the case that the channel state is good, and may increase the diversity gain and enhance signal reliability in the case that the channel state is not good.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling an OFDM-based base station cooperative communications and a method thereof. The controlling apparatus according to the present invention includes: a first control unit to transmit control signal to a first cellular base station so that a first signal transmitted from a broadcasting base station is modulated into a STBC type and transmitted to a user terminal when a user terminal having plurality of antennas is within a communications range of the first cellular base station; a comparison unit to compare a channel state value between the user terminal and the broadcasting base station with a threshold value, which is fed back from the user terminal, when the user terminal moves into a region where communications ranges of the first cellular base station and the second cellular base station are overlapped; a second controller to send a control signal to the second cellular base station so that a second signal, which is different from the first signal, is modulated and transmitted to the user terminal when the channel state value is at least the threshold value, and a first signal is modulated and transmitted to the user terminal when the channel state value is less than the threshold value. According to the present invention, by using a cooperative communications between the plurality of cellular base stations and the broadcasting base stations, a high reliability communications is possible due to a diversity gain. In addition, a transmission rate can be improved based on the reliability.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus to rearrange and transmit an OFDM symbol. According to the present invention, the method to rearrange and transmit an OFDM symbol for a time synchronization estimation comprises the steps of: receiving user data and training data having a preset length; performing an inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) on the user data; copying a part of the user data and pasting the copied part to a guard interval (GI) located in front of the user data in a cyclic prefix (CP) form; arranging the training data in the remaining part of the guard interval (GI); and transmitting the OFDM symbol, whereby the guard interval (GI) and the user data are combined, to a receiving terminal. According to the present invention, in order to maximally use the remaining part of the guard interval (GI), time synchronization is estimated by inserting the training data into the retaining part of the guard interval (GI), thereby efficiently using the wasted part with respect to each OFDM symbol. Also, unlike a conventional estimation method, the user data can be transmitted at the same time as the time synchronization estimation even if separate training data is not used.
