Abstract:
본발명은 OFDM 기반의 DAB 시스템및 그것을이용한모드및 프레임동기방법에관한것으로, OFDM 기반의 DAB 시스템을이용한모드및 프레임동기방법에있어서, 상기 DAB 시스템의수신단은송신단으로부터특정전송모드로송신된수신심볼을수신하는단계, 상기수신심볼에서널 심볼과 PRS를추출하고복수의후보전송모드각각에대하여차동자기상관함수값을연산하고, 연산된차동자기상관함수값이가장큰 후보전송모드를상기특정전송모드로추정하는단계, 그리고상기특정전송모드가추정되면, 추정된특정전송모드를상기차동자기상관함수에적용하여최대값또는최소값의시간인덱스를연산하고, 상기최대값또는최소값의시간인덱스를이용하여프레임시작점을추정하는단계를포함한다. 본발명에따르면, 기존의전송모드및 프레임시작점검출방법과비교했을때 보다신뢰성이높은모드및 프레임시작점검출성능을확보할수 있다. 또한, 본발명에따르면전송모드와프레임시작점을동시에추정함으로써빠르고효율적으로동기화를수행할수 있다.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A frequency error estimation method in a UWB-OFDM[UltraWide Band-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing] system and an apparatus thereof, capable of employing a cyclic delay diversity technique are provided to estimate a correct frequency error. CONSTITUTION: A transmission end(100) transmits symbols to each transmission antenna using a cyclic delay diversity technique when the cycle of the same OFDM symbol is delayed in a time axis. A receiving end(200) includes a Fourier transforming unit(210), a sub-band selector(220), a self signal correlation unit(230), a RFO[Residual Frequency Offset](240), and a SFO[Sampling Frequency Offset](250). The Fourier transforming unit transforms OFDM symbols transmitted from the transmission end in a Fourier transforming way at a high speed. The sub-band selector senses all channel powers in distinguishable sub-bands and estimates or selects a sub-band which has a maximum channel power. The self signal correlation unit produces a self correlation value about a pilot symbol in the corresponding OFDM symbol transmitted through the selected sub-band. The RFO estimator and the SFO estimator estimate the error of a residual frequency or the error of a sampling frequency by using the produced self correlation value. 본 발명은 순환 지연 다이버시티(CDD : Cyclic Delay Diversity) 기법이 적용된 직교 주파수 분할 다중 변조(OFDM, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 방식 통신 시스템의 송신기 및 수신기에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 수신기는, 순환 지연된 수신 신호를 푸리에 변환(FFT)하는 고속 푸리에 변환부; 상기 고속 푸리에 변환부에서 처리된 파일럿 부반송파 패턴을 추정하는 패턴 선택부; 및 추정된 파일럿 부반송파 패턴 및 상기 수신 신호의 순환 지연 값을 토대로 자기 상관을 통해 회전된 위상 값을 계산하여 잔여 심볼 시간 오프셋을 추정하는 추정부를 포함한다. 이와 같이 본 발명에 따르면, CDD 기법을 적용할 때, 발생하는 채널의 주파수 선택적 특성에 의한 심벌 시간 오차 추정의 성능 열화를 개선할 수 있다.

PURPOSE: A transmitter using an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) communication system and a receiver estimating a residual timing offset are provided to prevent the degradation of symbol timing offset estimation performance. CONSTITUTION: An OFDM communication system includes a transmitter(100) and a receiver(200). The transmitter includes a selector(110) and a cyclic delay unit(130). The selector selects an optimum cyclic delay value for a plurality of symbols to be transmitted through a transmission antenna. The cyclic delay unit performs the cyclic delay of an OFDM signal according to the cyclic delay value selected by the selector, and transmits the cyclic-delayed OFDM signal using a transmission antenna. The receiver includes a fast Fourier transform unit(210), a pattern selector(230) and an estimator(250). The fast Fourier transform unit transforms and demodulates a cyclic-delayed receiving signal transmitted from the transmitter from a time domain axis to a frequency domain axis. The pattern selector estimates a subcarrier pattern processed in the fast Fourier transform unit. The estimation unit estimates a residual symbol timing offset by calculating phase values rotated through auto correlation on the basis of the pilot subcarrier pattern estimated by the pattern selector and the cyclic delay value of the receiving signal.
