    Abstract: PURPOSE: A composite of titanium dioxide nanoparticles and anthracycline-based compounds is provided to show stability in cells or organisms, thereby safely delivering and releasing a drug to the cells or the organisms. CONSTITUTION: A composite of titanium dioxide nanoparticles and anthracycline-based compounds is provided. A drug delivery system has the composite and glutathione. A method for delivering and releasing a drug comprises the steps of: binding the titanium dioxide nanoparticles and the anthracycline-based compounds and forming the composite; treating cells or organisms with the composite; treating the cells or organisms with glutathione; and separating the anthracycline-based compounds and the titanium dioxide nanoparticles and releasing the anthracycline-based compounds.
