Abstract:
A converting method for providing PC, PDA, and mobile Web services by using a DIDL(Digital Item Declaration Language) based-on MPEG21 framework is provided to offer a Web page service to various kinds of terminals regardless of a markup kind. A method of converting an existing content into a content serviceable in a mobile by using a DIDL. A mobuilder(4) edits existing Web contents(5) and creates a DIDL file. When a terminal(1) receives a request, a call manger(2) requests a conversion to a description converter(3). The description converter creates a markup suitable for information of a terminal requested according the DIDL. In the description conversion, a markup suitable for each terminal is created according to information extracted during parsing. The created markup is provided to the mobile through the call manager.
Abstract:
A multi-level caching scheme for minimizing a response time of a wireless Web service in a mobile service is provided to reduce a standby time of a terminal by minimizing the number of conversions of a mark-up language. A multi-level caching scheme for minimizing a response time of a wireless Web service in a mobile service includes a content cache(10) and a description cache. The content cache stores and manages contents converted to minimizing conversion of a mark-up language serviceable on a browser of a terminal during a mobile terminal requests a service for a specific content. The description cache(20) can create and research for a new content by the use of a content creator(2) in case that a content does not exist within the content cache. A calling manger(1) provides a service by searching for a content requested from the terminal in the content cache after receiving a service request from the mobile terminal and analyzing terminal information from a mobile terminal DB(50). A description converter(30) creates a content by the use of a DIDL(40) which is a medium language in which mobile content information is recorded and the mobile terminal information.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for determining a meaningful playback time in a lecture video and a device and a method for providing a lecture video service using the same. The disclosed method for determining a meaningful playback time in a lecture video is a method for determining a meaningful playback time of the lecture video composed of a plurality of frames. The method includes a step of determining a meaningful playback time using at least one among a changed pattern of writing on the blackboard in a lecture video analyzed by a frame unit, and appearance patterns of words mentioned in the lecture video according to the flow of the playback time of the lecture video. Abstract:
PURPOSE: A bi-directional advertisement providing device and a method thereof are provided to enable a consumer to connect to an advertisement providing server through a portable device, thereby implementing bi-directional advertisement. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(110) displays event result information and event guide information through a screen display device. While the event guide information is being displayed on the screen display device, a data processor(120) selects a user corresponding to a fixed winning criterion from a plurality of users based on event performance information of the users. A communications unit(130) transmits the event perform information to the data processor after receiving the same.
Abstract:
A mobile content providing method and a mobile center used for the same are provided to minimize a response time of a mobile web service by pre-serving optimum one of selected mobile contents to a mobile terminal. If receiving a service request signal from a mobile terminal, a pre-service unit of a mobile center searches whether mobile contents corresponding to terminal QoS(Quality of Service) information of the connected mobile terminal are present in a content cache(S10,S11) If so, the pre-service unit transmits the searched corresponding mobile contents to the mobile terminal in response to the service request signal(S20). If not so, the pre-service unit extracts content QoS information for each mobile content stored in the content cache and computes content similarity for each mobile content(S12). Based on the computed content similarity, the pre-service unit determines whether similar mobile content is present in the mobile contents stored in the content cache(S13). If so, the pre-service unit selects optimum mobile contents having content similarity of a preset level for the connection mobile terminal among the similar mobile contents(S14). The optimum mobile content is transmitted to the mobile terminal in response to the service request signal(S15).
