    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide an optical waveguide module in which the configuration of an optical circuit is simplified and which can surely monitor light intensity regardless of a polarized wave state of signal light. CONSTITUTION: In an optical plane waveguide type circuit 1, an oblique groove 3 on is formed at a tile angle θ to a normal axis so as to cross an optical waveguide 2n. A reflective filter 4 is installed inside the groove 3 so as to compensate the difference of reflectances between each cross polarization to signal light, reflected light from the reflective filter 4 is detected by a photodetector 6n to monitor the light intensity of the signal light. Thereby, the light intensity can correctly be monitored regardless of the polarized wave state of the signal light. The deterioration of a long-term operation stability caused by contamination is prevented because the inner side of the groove 3 including the reflective filter 4 is sealed by a filling resin 5.
