Abstract: A peptide is provided to alleviate symptoms of muscular dystrophy and delay outbreak of the muscular dystrophy by inhibiting apoptosis of myoblasts and increasing resistance of the myoblasts against oxidative stress. A peptide consists of AA1-AA2-valine-isoleucine-aspartate-AA6, wherein the AA1 amino acid is alanine or isoleucine, the AA2 amino acid is methionine or isoleucine, and the AA6 is methionine or serine. A composition for preventing or treating muscular dystrophy comprises 0.001-200muM of the peptide.

Abstract translation: 提供肽以减轻肌营养不良的症状并通过抑制成肌细胞的凋亡和增加成肌细胞抵抗氧化应激的抗性来延缓肌营养不良的爆发。 肽由AA1-AA2-缬氨酸 - 异亮氨酸天冬氨酸-AA6组成，其中AA1氨基酸为丙氨酸或异亮氨酸，AA2氨基酸为甲硫氨酸或异亮氨酸，AA6为甲硫氨酸或丝氨酸。 用于预防或治疗肌营养不良的组合物包含0.001-200μmM的肽。
