Abstract:
본 발명은, 이방향 형상기억효과를 이용하여 온도가 내려가면 팽창하여 부피가 증가하고 온도가 올라가면 수축되어 부피가 감소되는 이방향성 형상기억장치에 관한 것이고, 이 장치를 의복 등의 보온용 제품에 부착함으로써 온도가 올라가면 공기층이 줄어들어 보온효과가 감소되며 온도가 내려가면 공기층을 확장시켜 보온효과를 증대하도록 하는 기술에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 이방향성 형상기억장치를 제작하되, 영구변형에 의한 미수축분을 처음부터 고려하기 위하여, 형상기억장치를 나선형 코일 스프링 형상으로 제작한다. 원통형코일과 달리 나선형 코일의 경우에는 그 팽창 방향이 (+)방향 및 (-)방향으로 양측으로 가능하기 때문에, 처음부터 (-) 방향으로 팽창된 상태로 나선형 코일을 제작하여 훈련을 하면 영구변형이 일어나더라도 (-) 방향으로 팽창되었던 부분이 (+)방향으로 미수축되어 최대수축시의 코일 높이가 최소화된다. 이방향 형상기억효과, 형상기억합금, TWSME, SMA, 의복, 가변보온성
Abstract:
A coil spring having two-way shape memory effect, a manufacturing method thereof, and an adiabatic product using the same are provided to manufacture the coil spring in a simple and cheap method by forming precipitation aligned to a specific direction in the coil spring with solution heat treating and tempering. A coil spring having two-way shape memory effect is made of shape memory alloy in a coil shape, and includes precipitation aligned to a specific direction. The shape memory alloy consists of 50.2-52.0 at% of Ni and the remainder of Ti and an inevitable impurity. The precipitation is Ni4Ti3. A manufacturing method of the coil spring comprises the steps of: forming a coil spring by winding a wire made of the shape memory alloy to contact each other closely; solution heat treating the coil spring at 600-1200°C and quenching; and forming the precipitation aligned to a specific direction by tempering the coil spring at 350-600°C while extended.

A variable heat insulating device using SMA(Shape Memory Alloy) and products adopting the same are provided to control automatically a heat insulation function without a power supply device, by automatically detecting the change of environment conditions through the temperature change and to facilitate cleaning or management by selectively attaching/detaching the heat insulating device. A variable heat insulating device(100) using SMA(30) is composed of: a first member(10); a second member(20) separated from the first member in a predetermined gap; and a shape memory unit connected between the first and second members to change the distance between the first and second members according to the temperature change. The shape memory unit is coil-type SMA shrunken if the temperature is increased, to reduce the distance between the first and second members and expanded if the temperature is decreased, to extend the distance between the first and second members.

A variable heat insulating material that can be automatically contracted and expanded without an additional manipulation in changing low temperature and high temperature environments is provided. As a method of manufacturing a device having a two-way shape memory effect that is expanded and contracted according to decrease and increase of temperature, a method of manufacturing a two-way shape memory device comprises: a step(100) of making a spiral coil of a state that the coil is expanded to a predetermined height H1 in a first direction; and a step of performing exercise for imparting a two-way shape memory effect to the spiral coil to contract the spiral coil to the height of about zero when the spiral coil is maximally contracted when the temperature increases, and to expand the spiral coil in a second direction opposite to the first direction when the temperature decreases. The step of performing exercise for imparting a two-way shape memory effect to the spiral coil comprises: a step(200) of expanding the spiral coil in a second direction; a step(300) of heating the expanded spiral coil to contract the spiral coil in a way that the spiral coil is contracted to a post-contraction height of about zero; a step(400) of cooling the spiral coil to form a spiral coil expanded to a predetermined height; and a step(500) of repeating the above heating and cooling steps such that the spiral coil reveals a two-way shape memory effect.
