Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for LED communication between vehicles. According to the present invention, the apparatus for LED communication between the vehicles is provided to transmit the traveling information of a preceding vehicle to a following vehicle by being mounted in the preceding vehicle which is traveling, the apparatus comprising: a signal generation unit which converts a traveling signal of a preceding vehicle at the present time into frame data consisting of binary bits having a serial form; a signal modulation unit which receives the binary bit, performing the pulse position modulation (PPM) thereof, and serially transmitting the modulated binary bit; and a signal control unit which controls the on or off operation of a tail light provided on the rear of the preceding vehicle according to a high or low state of the modulated binary bit. According to the apparatus and the method for LED communication between the vehicles, it is possible to reduce a communication error in a following vehicle which detects the traveling information of a preceding vehicle by photographing a tail light and to improve inter-vehicle communication efficiency by performing the PPM modulation of the traveling information of a preceding vehicle consisting of binary bits, serially transmitting the modulated binary bit, and controlling to turn on or off the tail light of the preceding vehicle in real time depending on a high or low value of the transmitted signal. Abstract: PURPOSE: A system and a method for controlling smart avoidance of vehicles is provided to image-decode driving information of a vehicle expressed by symbolized codes in a user's own car, and analyze a decoded result, thereby smartly controlling accident avoidance of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A system and a method for controlling smart avoidance of vehicles comprises a vehicle information obtaining part(110), a symbol encoder part(120), a lamp controller(130), an image obtaining part(140), a symbol decoder part(160), a calculation part(170), and a control part(180). The symbol encoder part encodes obtained information to corresponding symbolized code information. The lamp controller controls emitting devices like a lamp to express symbolized code information. The image obtaining part captures the symbolized code displayed on lamps of the opposite vehicle. The symbol decoder part extracts current driving information about the opposite vehicle by decoding the symbolized code of the opposite vehicle. The calculation part calculates danger of accident information between a user's own vehicle and the opposite vehicle. The control part controls driving of the user's own car based on the danger of accident information.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and system for controlling a light emitting module are provided to implement an image with high quality by improving a contrast ratio and brightness of an image. CONSTITUTION: A first reference value is obtained by applying Otsu's algorithm to an image comprised of a plurality of pixels(S110). The average brightness value of the pixels is obtained(S120). A second reference value is calculated by using the first reference value and the average brightness(S130). The pixels are binarized to 0 and 1 by comparing the individual brightness value of the pixels with the second reference value(S140). A ratio of the number of the pixels with 1 to the total number of the pixels is compared with a preset critical value(S150). The brightness of the pixels is controlled by applying boost algorithm(S180).
