    Abstract: The present invention relates to an car body lifting apparatus capable of lifting an car body or car body frame that is bigger and heavier than an engine, which comprises: two bodies prepared to stand at both sides and having vertical guide parts at front and back of each body; two driving shafts prepared in a traverse direction between the two bodies that are arranged at both sides, each inserted from a lower center portion inside each body toward the outside, and rotated together by a driving unit equipped between the driving shafts while being interlocked with each other; a worm shaft mounted perpendicularly at an outer center portion inside each body and rotated being connected to the driving shafts and a first power transfer unit; a plurality of chain driving shafts mounted in the traverse direction at front and back portions inside each body, having at least one sprocket installed inside thereof, and each rotated being connected to the worm shaft and a second power transfer unit; a plurality of chain receiving units provided at the front and back portions inside each body around the chain sprocket, having a chain protruding open portion at a top portion, and winding and receiving a lifting chain; a lifting chain wound and received in each chain receiving unit, and including a portion engaged with the sprocket for one end to protrude above the body by rotation; and a car body lifting chain each installed over both vertical guide parts at the front and back of the bodies and over the lifting chains at both sides, and including a car body locator each horizontally arranged at the front and back to hold up the car body or car frame.

The present invention reduces the investment costs for equipment by reducing the scale and occupation space of equipment, enhances the degree of freedom for a factory layout design, and efficiently operates the assembly lines in whole by implementing a new assembly system by combining a bogie circulating on a rail installed along process stages for assembling a vehicle chassis with a hanger type transfer for assembling parts such as an engine.
