Abstract: A low-melting point glass composition is provided to solve an environmental pollution problem by using no Pb component, to reduce a production cost by using relatively inexpensive oxides as raw materials, and to have a low firing point. A low-melting point glass composition for forming barrier ribs of a plasma display panel includes 28-40mol% of P2O5, 27-40mol% of V2O5, 5-25mol% of B2O3, and 10-30mol% of ZnO. A ratio of P2O5 to V2O5 ranges from 0.8 to 1.2. The B2O3 is a glass-forming oxide and increases a glass transition point. The glass composition has a glass transition point of approximately 340-370 °C and a dilatometer softening point of approximately 380-400 °C.

Abstract: A PbO-free glass frit composition for barrier ribs of PDP is provided to obtain lighter glass frit, which is calcinated at relatively low temperature and is easily subjected to etching process, and to have excellent hardness and elasticity coefficient. A PbO-free glass frit composition for barrier ribs of PDP comprises 80-85wt% of glass frit and 15-20wt% of filler. The glass frit comprises: main ingredients consisting of 40-50wt% of Bi2O3, 25-41wt% of ZnO and 15-25wt% of B2O3; and sub ingredients consisting of 0.5-11wt% of at least one compound selected from BaO, K2O, Al2O3 and SrO. The filler comprises at least 10 wt% of ZnO and at least 5wt% of Al2O3.
