Abstract: A process for manufacturing glass frits for PDP and a composition for the process are provided to maintain the composition in the materials for glass frits while suppressing foreign matters from being mixed or the glass frits from flowing out during the process for preventing darkening or whitening of final the product. A process for manufacturing glass frits for PDP comprises steps of: preparing cullet from glass raw materials for PDP comprising barium oxide and boron oxide by feeding the barium oxide and the boron oxide into furnace; drying-grinding the cullet; wet-grinding the drying-ground cullet; and drying the wet-ground cullet, wherein the total contents of barium oxide and boron oxide is restricted so that the pH variability in the solvent for wet-grinding step is maintained up to 1. The total contents of barium oxide and boron oxide are at most 10mol%. The raw material for glass is low melting glass composition comprising components selected from PbO-B2O3-SiO, Bi2O3-B2O3-ZnO, B2O3-ZnO-BaO-SiO.
