Abstract: The present invention relates to a single longitudinal mode optical fiber laser device using a transformative saturable absorber capable of controlling output power widely by inserting the transformative saturable absorber into the device as well as reducing the threshold current of laser and increasing energy converting efficiency. Moreover a saturable absorbing level of the laser can be widely controlled by inserting pump light, which is having a pulse of a C-band (Conventional band, 1530 nm ~ 1560 nm), into a rate-earth added optical fiber saturable absorber. Moreover wide band pulse transformative single longitudinal optical fiber laser, which is having a planarization processed output applied with the transformative saturable absorber, is provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a pulsed fiber laser, and more specifically, to a fiber laser device wherein a variable-type saturable absorber is inserted. The active-pulse generating fiber laser device using a saturable absorber includes a laser part and a saturable absorber part. The laser part includes a laser resonator formed with a circular optical fiber and an optical circulator contained in the laser resonator, and transmits a resonating laser to the saturable absorber part. The saturable absorber part includes a saturable absorber, and induces laser oscillation by adjusting the saturation state of the saturable absorber with an optical pulse.
