Abstract:
A new strain Schizophyllum commune IY818 (KFCC 10710), produces on culture a proteoglycan, S818. The proteoglycan contains in its sugar component beta-glucose, alpha-glucose, fructose and xylose; and in its protein component glycine, lysine, alanine, histidine, arginine, valine, aspartic acid, threonine, isoleucine, serine, leucine, glutamic acid, tyrosine, proline, phenylalanine and methionine. The obtd. S-818 enhances the anti-tumour immune response and it is useful as an anticancer immunomodulator.
Abstract:
A new strain of fungus, Ganoderma lucidum IY-009 (KFCC- 10709), produces on culture a proteoglycan, G009. The proteoglycan contains in its sugar component beta-glucose, alpha-glucose, galactose, alpha-mannose and fructose; and in its protein component glycine, lysine, alanine, histidine, valine, arginine, aspartic acid, threonine, isoleucine, serine, leucine, glutamic acid, tyrosine, proline, phenylalanine and methionine. The obtd. G-009 enhances the anti-tumour immune response and it is useful as an anticancer immunomodulator.
