Abstract:
A position measuring system and a measuring method using interlocking between a GPS(Global Positioning System) and a UWB(Ultra-WideBand) are provided to recognize the location of a shadow region where a UWB signal transmitted from a GPS/UWB AP(Access Point) does not reach. A position measuring system is composed of an AP position decision part; a GPS/UWB AP(10) having three UWB transmitting and receiving units and three UWB position decision parts; and plural UWB modules(20-1,20-2,20-3). The AP position decision part calculates the position of the GPS/UWB AP by using a GPS signal. If a terminal is positioned in a communication region of three UWB transmitting and receiving units, each UWB transmitting and receiving unit calculates the distance to the terminal and outputs the calculated distance. If the terminal is not in the communication region of three UWB transmitting and receiving units, three UWB transmitting and receiving units receive the distance between each UWB module and the terminal from three UWB modules directly communicating with the terminal, and output the received distance. The UWB position decision part calculates the relative position of the terminal from the distance between each UWB transmitting and receiving unit and the terminal output from three UWB transmitting and receiving units or the distance between each UWB module and the terminal.
Abstract:
A method for determining position of a mobile station is provided to reduce infra structure cost and improve accuracy by determining the position of the mobile terminal based on various medium. A method for determining position of mobile station is comprised of steps: requesting the position information to each medium and receiving the information and response time(S410~S424); estimating distance from each medium based on time of transmitting and receiving and processing(S440); measuring the location of the mobile terminal based on the presumed distance(450). In the device, various medium include at least one WLAN(wireless local area network) AP(Access Poont) or WPAN.
Abstract:
A method for determining a base station for position determination and a method therefor using the same are provided to determine a base station for position determination accurately by determining a base station in consideration of arrangement of the base station and allow the mobile terminal to perform the more exact determination. A candidate base station which generates RSS(Received Signal Strength) more than the fixed critical value are determined(S400). Determined candidate base stations are grouped(S410). One or more group in which the mobile terminal is positioned within the triangle which the first, and the second and the third group element form is detected(S420). The group elements of the second group having the shape that it is most near to the regular triangle is determined as the base stations for the determination(S430).

PURPOSE: An optical film, a backlight unit including the same, and a liquid crystal display device including the backlight unit are provided to condense a forwardly transmitted light into a direction vertical to a base layer by forming a light transmitting part for penetrating a light reflecting layer and a light absorbing layer. CONSTITUTION: A base layer(11) is made of a light transmitting material. A micro lens array layer(12) includes a plurality of micro lenses arranged to one side of the base layer. A light reflecting layer(15A) is separated from the micro lens array layer, and reflects a light emitted to the base layer. A light absorbing layer(17A) is formed to one side of the light reflecting layer faced with the micro lens array layer, and absorbs the light. A light transmitting part(18) is formed to a focus position of each micro lens for penetrating the light reflecting layer and the light absorbing layer.
