Abstract: A mass spectrometer is provided to improve the resolving power of each spectrum by installing four pairs of deflectors outside ionization source so that the amount of PSD ions at a location where PD laser is irradiated is maximally removed. A mass spectrometer comprises an ionization source(10) subject to a delayed extraction. Ions passing through an ionization source tube reach an ion gate(30). A deflection system(20), including four bipolar deflectors, is interposed between the tube and the ion gate to remove PSD ions. A PD laser(40) is installed next to the ion gate to irradiate laser onto ions that have passed through the ion gate. A detector(60) detects the ions according to the mass thereof.

Abstract: 본 발명은 질량분석장치에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 지연추출(DE)되는 이온화원과; 상기 이온화원튜브를 통과한 이온들이 비행하여 도달하는 이온게이트와; 상기 튜브와 상기 이온게이트 사이에 개재되어 PSD이온을 제거하는 디플렉션 시스템과; 상기 이온게이트 다음에 설치되어 상기 이온게이트를 통과한 이온에 레이저를 조사하는 PD레이저와; 상기 PD레이저를 거친 이온들을 질량별로 검출하는 검출기;를 갖는 질량분석장치에 관한 것이다.
이상과 같이 본 발명에 의하면, 네 쌍의 동일한 디플렉터를 이온화원 밖에 설치하여 PD 레이저가 조사되는 지점에서 PSD 이온의 양을 최대한으로 제거할 수 있으므로, 각 스펙트럼에서 분해능을 향상시키는 결과를 얻었고, 분자 이온의 PD 생성물만의 정보를 얻을 수 있는 효과가 있으며, PSD 이온의 PD 생성물은 스펙트럼에서 마이너 피크로 나타나지만, 질량분석장치를 사용하는 경우 이러한 피크의 기여를 없앨 수 있는 효과가 있다.
