Abstract: PURPOSE: Ubiquitin-specific proteases from chick muscle and gene thereof are provided. The enzymes remove ubiquitin bound to p53 protein to stabilize p53 protein in a cell, so that they can be useful for development of anticancer drugs related to p53 protein. CONSTITUTION: The ubiquitin-specific proteases from chick muscle are UBP75a, UBP75b and UBP135, wherein the ubiquitin-specific protease digests protein or peptide bound to ubiquitin by alpha-peptide bond; the ubiquitin-specific protease digests protein or peptide bound to ubiquitin by epsilon-peptide bond; the ubiquitin-specific protease comprises the total or portion of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:5 or SEQ ID NO:6; and UBP75a, UBP75b and UBP135 have molecular weight of 75 kDa, 75 kDa and 135 kDa, respectively. The ubiquitin-specific protease genes are ubp75a, ubp75b and ubp135, wherein the ubiquitin-specific protease genes are isolated from cDNA of chicken; genes ubp75a, ubp75b and ubp135 have the total or portion of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1, SEQ ID NO:2 and SEQ ID NO:3, respectively. The expression vectors pBS-UBP75a, pBS-UBP75b and pBS-UBP135 contains the genes ubp75a, ubp75b and ubp135, respectively.

Abstract: 본 발명은 유비퀴틴-유사 단백질의 하나인 SUMO의 C-말단을 특이적으로 절단하는 단백질 분해효소인 SUMO-프로테아제, mUlpB와 그 유전자에 관한 것이다. 즉, 쥐의 뇌 조직 mRNA에서 SUMO-특이 단백질 분해효소를 찾아내는 5'-RACE 방법과 이 방법으로 찾은 SUMO-프로테아제의 유전자, mUlpB 단백질 그리고 이 단백질을 발현하는 벡터에 관한 것이다.

Abstract: 본 발명은 새로운 유비퀴틴-프로테아제 (ubiquitin-specific protease, UBP) 및 그 유전자에 관한 것이다. 즉, 닭의 근세포에 존재하는 분자량 75 킬로달톤 (UBP75a, UBP75b) 및 135 킬로달톤 (UBP135)의 새로운 유비퀴틴 분해효소들과 그들의 유전자, 그리고 각 유전자를 함유하는 발현 플라스미드와 이를 이용하여 단백질 분해효소를 발현시키는 방법에 관한 것이다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: SUMO-specific protease, mUlpB from mouse brain and gene thereof are provided, which are useful for development of anticancer drugs including acute leukemia. CONSTITUTION: The SUMO-specific protease, mUlpB is isolated from mouse brain, wherein the SUMO-specific protease digests protein or peptide bound to SUMO; the SUMO-specific protease has the total or portion of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2; and the SUMO-specific protease has molecular weight of 55 kDa. The SUMO-specific protease gene has the total or portion of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1. The expression plasmids pET32a-mUIpB and pCMV-Tag-mUIpB contain the total or portion of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1. A transformant is produced by transforming microorganism BL21 with the expression plasmid pET32a-mUIpB.
