Abstract: 본 발명은 heterotrimeric G 단백질의 소단위체인 Gα13 단백질의 기능을 특이적으로 억제 또는 하향조절(down-regulation)하여 이로 인한 세포 신호전달을 차단함으로써 천식을 치료하는 약학조성물에 관한 것이다. 또한 본 발명은 천식의 예방 또는 치료에 사용될 수 있는 활성성분을 스크리닝하는 방법을 제공한다. Gα13에 대한 미니유전자(minigene), Gα13 유전자에 대한 안티센스올리고뉴클레오티드, Gα13 표적 siRNA, Gα13에 대한 안티펩티드, Gα13 단백질에 대한 항체, Gα13 단백질에 대한 안티펩티드 항체, Gα13 단백질 수용체에 대한 항체, Gα13 단백질 수용체에 대한 길항제에 의한 Gα13 단백질의 활성 억제가 천식 상태에서 세기관지 평활근의 과도한 수축을 제어함으로써 상기 질병의 발작 및 진행을 예방 또는 치료하는데 활용될 수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition for prevention or treatment of asthma comprising an inhibitor or down regulator of Gα 13 protein function is provided to be used for a therapeutic agent for relieving or treating asthma and to ensure high effectiveness and safety of Gα13. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for prevention or treatment of asthma comprising an inhibitor or down regulator of Gα13 protein function comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of mini-gene, antisense oligonucleotide, Gα13 target siRNA, anti peptide, antibody of Ga13 protein, anti peptide antibody, Ga13 protein, antibody of a receptor, and antagonist about Ga13 protein receptor.
