Abstract: A cell-assay method is provided to form various nano-structured matrices for cell culturing similar to in vivo environment easily and analyze influence of various structured three-dimensional surface and functional materials on cells on a chip. A cell-assay method comprises the steps of: (a) arraying nano-particles using a piezo-microarrayer on a glass slide; (b) arraying a functional material using the piezo-microarrayer on a nano-array obtained from the step(a) to modify the nano-particles; and (c) culturing cells on the surface of the nano-array modified by the functional material and analyzing them, wherein the nano-particle is at least one selected from the group consisting of gold nanosphere, gold nanotriangle, gold nanocube, gold nanotetrapod, gold nanohexagon, silver nanosphere, silver nanotriangle and a mixture thereof and the functional material is at least one selected from the group consisting of extracellular matrix(ECM) proteins, medicines for treatment, medicines for diagnosis, and growth factors. Additionally, a step of surface -treating a glass slide with a coating agent selected from silane-polyethyleneglycol and poly(L-lysine)-g-polyethyleneglycol before the step (a) is comprised in the cell-assay method.
