Abstract: A composition comprising an extract of herbs or a herb-extract containing zeolite is provided to show excellent inhibitory effect on melanogenesis by inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase in cells and be effective for improving skin elasticity and wrinkle improving effect through molecular mechanism such as inhibition of MMP-1 expression and inhibition of collagen degradation of skin with no cytotoxicity and skin side effects, thereby being safely applied to a cosmetic, a pharmaceutical and a food composition. A composition for improving skin conditions such as wrinkles, whitening or skin injury caused by UV comprises an extract of ginseng, an extract of Astragalus membranaceus, an extract of Glycyrrhiza uralensis, an extract of pharbitidis seed, an extract of green tea, an extract of aloe and zeolite. The composition is a cosmetic composition, a pharmaceutical composition or a food composition. Further, the cosmetic composition is a form selected from solution, paste, gel, cream, lotion, soap, surfactant-comprised cleansing, oil, powder foundation, wax foundation and spray.
