PURPOSE: A transgenic plant with low temperature resistance or freezing tolerance is provided to ensure excellent germination rate at low temperature. CONSTITUTION: A plant with low temperature resistance or freezing tolerance is prepared by transforming a plant with a recombinant vector containing Oriza sativa-derived OsGRP(Oryza sativa glycine-rich RNA-binding protein) gene with a base sequence of sequence number 6. The plant is a dicotyledonous plant or mono-cotyledonous plant. The plant is Arabidopsis thaliana. A method for producing the plant comprises: a step of transforming a plant cells with the recombinant vector; and a step of redifferentiating the transgenic plant.
