    Abstract: PURPOSE: A variable helix medical device is provided, which prevents inward enlargement of the tumor tissue cell and inner cavity cell and stricture of the inner cavity. CONSTITUTION: A variable helix medical device is constituted as follows. The variable helix medical device is formed into a helix body with predetermined helix width and helix number. The variable helix medical device has expansion and reduction driving characteristic of the helix body by generating heat through induction heating by the high frequency alternating current provided from the outside. The shape memory polymer is polyurethane(200). The polyurethane is composed of a soft segment and a hard segment.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A variable helix medical device is provided, which can control change of diameter by contraction and expansion operation using torsional motion of helix according to a specific electric signal. CONSTITUTION: A variable helix medical device is manufactured by the steps of: a step of cutting ionic high molecule metal complex in the fixed length and width through surface process, ionosorption, first plating, and second plating using electroless plating method; a step of winding the cut ionic high molecule metal complex spirally to allow a glass bar to have fixed pitch angle; and a step of heat-treating the ionic high molecule metal complex fixed to the glass bar by dipping the complex in water of 90deg.C for one hour.
