Abstract: The present invention relates to an orthogonal precoder for improving the performance of a spatial multiplexing method in a mobile broadcast system. According to the present invention, the performance is improved by providing the orthogonal precoder with high performance improvement in a Rician channel environment with an eraser phenomenon by serially connecting a precoder with the spatial multiplexing method with two transceiver antennas.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A transmission device for a hierarchically modulated signal and a method thereof are provided to improve the reception performance of a second layer signal by applying a phase rotation technology to the second layer signal.
