Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided are an antidiabetic drug of the benincasae extract and a composition containing the extract as an effective ingredient. The benincasae extract restores abnormal blood glucose level by destruction of beta cells by alloxan in pancreas and is thus useful for treating diabetes. CONSTITUTION: The benincasae extract is obtained by the steps of: adding 20 times amount of water to benincasae, followed by extraction for 4 hours twice to give crude extract; concentrating the crude extract, followed by freeze drying; and dissolving the freeze dried crude extract in distilled water, followed by fractioning with hexane, dichloromethane and n-butanol, sequentially. The antidiabetic drug contains the extract as an active ingredient.

Abstract translation: 目的：提供benincasae提取物的抗糖尿病药物和含有提取物作为有效成分的组合物。 benincasae提取物通过在胰腺中四氧嘧啶破坏β细胞而恢复异常血糖水平，因此可用于治疗糖尿病。 构成：通过以下步骤获得benincasae提取物：向benincasae加入20倍量的水，然后萃取4小时两次，得到粗提物; 浓缩粗提物，然后冷冻干燥; 并将冷冻干燥的粗提取物溶解在蒸馏水中，然后依次用己烷，二氯甲烷和正丁醇进行分馏。 抗糖尿病药含有提取物作为活性成分。
