Abstract: PURPOSE: A wheelchair control system and a control method thereof are provided to measure a tilt angle of a wheelchair on a slope way and to adjust the height of the wheelchair according to the measured inclination of the wheelchair to maintain level. CONSTITUTION: A wheelchair control system includes a chair body(50) on which wheels are installed; a support frame(60) which is separated from the chair body; and a level maintenance module(70) which maintains the support frame horizontally. The level maintenance module comprises an actuator which uses an applied power source to generate a driving force; a rod which moves in a linear direction; and a sensor which detects the inclination of the support frame. Abstract: A compound semiconductor optoelectronic device of a cavity-resonant quantum structure is provided to increase an external quantum efficiency by confining generated photons using a photonic crystal reflector inserted at both end portions of a light emitting active layer. A light emitting diode or a surface light emitting laser diode include a light emitting active layer of a quantum well structure(4). A plurality of photonic crystal reflectors are installed at upper and lower portions of the light emitting active layer. The plurality of photonic crystal reflectors(15,16) are used for confining a plurality of photons in a space of the light emitting diode or the surface light emitting laser diode, wherein the plurality of photons are generated from the light emitting active layer.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A high density-flat panel lamp of white LEDs is provided to form a high-brightness white lamp having a high-integrated chip by using a metal line for connecting chips on a semiconductor wafer. CONSTITUTION: An n-type GaN cladding layer is grown on a buffer layer by performing an MOCVD method using a sapphire substrate. An undoped GaN layer is grown on the cladding layer. A blue emitting active layer is grown on the cladding layer. A P-type GaN cladding layer is grown on the blue emitting active layer. An N-type GaN ohmic contact layer is exposed by performing a dry-etch process. A transparent electrode is formed on the P-type GaN cladding layer. A metal line(8) of an N-type electrode is formed on the N-type GaN ohmic contact layer. A SiO2 insulating layer(18) is formed on the N-type GaN ohmic contact layer. A P-type electrode and a metal line(9) are formed on the insulating layer. The P-type electrode is coated by the SiO2 insulating layer. The P-type electrode and the N-type electrode are drawn.
