하이브리드 전송환경에서 스케일러블 초고해상도 비디오 서비스를 위한 프로그램 구성 정보 송수신 방법, 효율적인 스케일러 계층 정보 전송을 위한 방법 및 스케일러 계층 정보 전송을 위한 장치에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 스케일러블 UHD 비디오를 구성하고 있는 기본 계층(base layer) 및 향상 계층(enhancement layer)의 스케일러블 계층(scalable layer)에 대한 그룹정보 및 전송채널정보를 프로그램맵테이블(Program Map Table PMT) 또는 패키지구성테이블(Package Configuration Table PCT)에 삽입하여 전송하는 방안 및 스케일러블 초고해상도 비디오 서비스를 위해서, 패킷 헤더에 스케일러블 계층 정보를 포함할 때 가능한 적은 비트로 계층 정보를 전송하기 위한 스케일러블 계층 정보 포맷에 관한 것이다.

PURPOSE: An efficient information transmission method of a scalable layer for ultra-high definition video and a device thereof are provided to supply layer information by inputting scalable layer list up information in the shape of a medial fragment unit (MFU) at regular periods and by referring the scalable layer list up information in the MFU. CONSTITUTION: A device generates a scalable video stream including a base layer and at least one enhanced layer based on an MPEG media transport (MMT). The device generates scalable layer list up information (310) managing layer information comprising the scalable video stream. The scalable layer list up information includes the layer information on each layer of the scalable video stream and a layer identifier representing the layer information. PURPOSE: A transmission/reception method of program configuration information for a scalable ultra-high definition (UHD) video service in a hybrid transmission environment is provided to add a program map table (PMT) to MPEG-2 transport stream (TS) and insert transmission channel information and configuration information about transmitted media into the added PMT. CONSTITUTION: An MPEG-2 system generates a base layer packet (240) containing a base layer and an enhanced layer packet (250) containing at least one enhanced layer from a scalable UHD video coding bit stream containing the base layer and at least one enhanced layer based on MPEG-2 TS or MPEG media transport (MMT). The MPEG-2 system generates a PMT (230) which is program configuration information for the base layer packet and enhanced layer packet, inserts the generated program configuration information into the base layer packet, and transmits the packets to a receiving end through a broadcasting network.
