    Abstract: PURPOSE: An optical film and a liquid crystal display including the same are provided to reduce production costs by diverting a vertical alignment mode optical film into a horizontal alignment mode optical film. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display(100) comprises a liquid crystal panel which includes a liquid crystal layer(102) sealed between a first substrate(104) and a second substrate(106). A first optical film(110) is laminated at one side of the first substrate. A second optical film(120) is laminated at one side of the second substrate. The first substrate and the second substrate can be formed into a glass substrates or a plastic substrate. The first optical film comprises a first compensation layer and a second compensation layer.
