Abstract: A gateway system for a mobile service in a wireless open network and a service method thereof are provided to transmit a session ID received from a PM to a mobile terminal, maintain a communication session with the mobile terminal by using the session ID, receive contents from an application server by transmitting the session ID and a contents service request to a converter if receiving the contents service request including the session ID, thereby dynamically dealing with a service request from terminals of various standards, in which the type and version of hardware and software are different, and consistently providing the service to be suitable for the environment of the wireless terminals. A gateway system comprises the followings: a gateway(120) which receives a connection request including terminal information from a mobile terminal(110) and transmits contents converted according to the terminal information to the mobile terminal(110); a PM(Profile Manager)(130) which receives information about the point of time when the mobile terminal(110) is connected and the terminal information form the gateway(120) and transmits a session ID(Identification), generated by combining the connection time and the terminal information, to the gateway(120); and a converter(140) which searches for the terminal information corresponding to the session ID from the PM(130) and converts the contents received from an application server(150) according to the searched terminal information, and transmits the converted contents to the gateway(120).

Abstract: 본 발명은 무선 개방망에서 모바일 서비스를 위한 게이트웨이 시스템에 관한 것으로서, 모바일 단말기로부터 단말기 정보가 포함된 접속 요청을 수신하며 단말기 정보에 따라 변환된 컨텐츠를 모바일 단말기에 전송하는 게이트웨이와; 상기 게이트웨이로부터 상기 모바일 단말기의 접속 시점 및 상기 단말기 정보를 수신하고, 이를 조합하여 생성한 세션 아이디를 상기 게이트웨이에 전달하는 프로파일 관리기와; 상기 세션 id에 대응하는 단말기 정보를 상기 프로파일 관리기로부터 검색하여 상기 응용 서버로부터 수신된 컨텐츠를 그 검색된 단말기 정보에 따라 변환하며 그 변환된 컨텐츠를 상기 게이트웨이에 전달하는 변환기를 포함한다. 그리고, 상기 게이트웨이는 상기 프로파일 관리기로부터 수신한 세션 id를 상기 모바일 단말기에 전송하고, 상기 세션 id를 이용하여 모바일 단말기와의 통신 세션을 유지하며, 모바일 단말기로부터 상기 세션 id가 포함된 컨텐츠 서비스 요청을 수신하면 상기 변환기에 세션 id 및 컨텐츠 서비스 요청을 전달하여 상기 응용 서버로부터 컨텐츠를 수신하도록 한다.
