Abstract: A dual band strip conductor open loop antenna and a portable RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) reader using the same are provided to match the property of various devices by controlling the impedance matching. A dual band strip conductor open loop antenna includes a first electric conductor open-typed loop(10), a second electric conductor open-typed loop(20), and a feeding power point(p). The first electric conductor open-typed loop(10) and the second electric conductor open-typed loop(20) receive the wireless frequency of a broadband wireless frequency band and a narrowband wireless frequency band simultaneously and have a broadband impedance adjusting pattern and a narrowband impedance adjusting pattern adjusting impedance corresponding to each of broadband and narrowband wireless frequencies according to the adjustment of length. The second electric conductor open-typed loop(20) and the first electric conductor open-typed loop(10) are symmetrically arranged to be separated at predetermined intervals on the same plane. The feeding power point(p) has a contact point of an applied device between the first electric conductor open-typed loop(10) and the second electric conductor open-typed loop(20).
