PURPOSE: Magnesium phyllosilicate clay with anti-microbial and anti-fungal activity, and a method thereof are provided to suppress growing micro-organism very efficiently by an electrostatic interaction between aminopropyl group and anti-microbial/anti-fungal. CONSTITUTION: A method of magnesium phyllosilicate clay with anti-microbial and anti-fungal activity comprises the following steps of: dissolving magnesium chloride in the solvent; adding 3- aminopropyltriethoxysilane to the dissolved magnesium chloride; mixing the solution; centrifuging the mixed solution after stationing for a day; and drying the centrifuged solution. The magnesium phyllosilicate clay is functionalized with the water-soluble aminopropyl.

A flame retardant polyolefin crosslinked foam composition is provided to recycle waste resin, thereby improving environmental friendliness, working process and foaming characteristics. A flame retardant polyolefin crosslinked foam composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a resin which comprises 30-50 wt% of polypropylene, 30-50 wt% of recycled polyethylene, 0-30 wt% of recycled ethylene-vinyl copolymer, 0-10 wt% of ethylene-propylene copolymer, 10-20 wt% of polyethylene graft maleic anhydride, and 0-10 wt% of polypropylene graft maleic anhydride; at least one additive selected from 2-5 parts by weight of a crosslinking agent, 10-15 parts by weight of a foaming agent, 0-2 parts by weight of a foaming aid, 0-2.5 parts by weight of an internal releasing agent, 0-5 parts by weight of an external releasing agent, 0-10 parts by weight of a plasticizer, and 0-2.5 parts by weight of a heat transfer promoter; and 130-190 parts by weight of a flame retardant.

PURPOSE: A method for lowering molecular weight of alginates and fucoidan is provided to ensure fast reaction speed using electronic beams and to simply lower the molecular weight of alginates and fucoidan in high yield. CONSTITUTION: A method for lowering molecular weight of alginates and fucoidan comprises a step of irradiating electron beams to a polymer alginate solution. 0.5~2.0 weight% of alginate is included in the polymer alginate solution. The electronic beam is irradiated in a dose of 0.1~20 kGy in the energy of 1~3 MeV. The method for lowering molecular weight of alginates and fucoidan allows oxygen to be pumped or uses hydrogen peroxide of 0.5~4.5% concentration as a catalyst for lowering molecular weight.

A flame-retarding composition is provided to reduce processing costs of waste and to be environment-friendly by recycling artificial marble waste powder and coal ash, and to prepare non-toxic flame retardant product which is suitable for international environment standard. A flame-retarding composition comprises coal ash 0~120 phr, artificial marble waste powder 0~120 phr, ethylene vinylene aceta 0~20 phr, ammonium polyphosphate 0~7 phr and magnesium hydroxide 30~200 phr based on the polymer resin 100.0 phr. A method for manufacturing the flame-retarding composition comprises the steps of: (a) solution coating coal ash, artificial marble powder or combination thereof with a compatibilizer solution, drying and filtering the product; and (b) mixing the dried coal ash or artificial marble powder with a flame-retardant aid, compatibilizer and polymer resin.

The present invention relates to a flame retardant polystyrene foam in which a polystyrene foam is coated with a solution which mixes: one or more flame retardants which are selected from expandable graphite, montmorillonite, and organoclay; and an adhesive which includes polyvinylalcohol and melamine. According to the present invention, a method for manufacturing the flame retardant polystyrene foam is provided which reduces generation of harmful gas (HBr, HCl, and the likes) when burned due to halogen-free flame retardant, does not drastically increase specific gravity without degrading functionality of foam such as lowering foaming ratio or not influencing the foaming, and has excellent adhesion of foam beads with the flame retardant so that the flame retardant polystyrene foam can be provided which induces formation of char when burned and blocks flame by producing a carbonized film. CONSTITUTION: An antibacterial cosmetic composition contains low molecular alginate having a molecular weight of 150 kDa or less; low molecular fucoidan having a molecular weight of 35 kDa or less; low molecular silver-alginate having a particle size of 0.1-3.4 um. The low molecular silver-alginate is prepared by adding 1.5-4.5 weight% of hydrogen peroxide to a solution containing 0.1-2.0 weight% of alginate; irradiating an electron beam to the mixture solution at 1.0-3.0MeV; adding a silver nitrate(AgNO_3) solution; and collecting precipitate. PURPOSE: An antibacterial fabric conditioner is provided to improve an antibacterial power for Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus by containing aqueous solution which has optimum concentration. CONSTITUTION: A fiber softener on the paste includes the low molecular alginic acid of the molecular weight 3000-5000. A minimum inhibitory concentration for the Escherichia coli of the aqueous solution of the low molecular alginic acid is equal to or greater than 350ppm. The minimum inhibitory concentration for the staphylococcus of the aqueous solution of the low molecular alginic acid is equal to or greater than 350ppm. As to the fiber softener, the pH at 25°C is 2.6-3.0. The Brookfield viscosity is 30-60cps. The specific gravity is 1.01-1.02 g/cm. The solid content is 15.0-16.0 weight%.
