    Abstract: The present invention is provided to effectively cancel only interference signals by not using an auto-correlation canceler or a digital filter, but by using a normalizer to cancel unnecessary noise signals generated by narrowband signals; and to enable the design of an ICS repeater for LTE wireless networks which requires a short system time delay. In a device to cancel interference of an ICS repeater using a normalizer, which outputs an error signal (e(n)) of which the interference signal is canceled by subtracting a predicted feedback signal (y′(n)) in an ICS engine unit from an original signal (d(n)) inputted through a reception antenna through a subtractor, the ICS engine unit comprises: a time delay unit to generate a reference signal (x(n)) which delays the error signal (e(n)) outputted through the subtractor; a normalizer to generate a new reference signal (x′(n)) by normalizing the characteristics of the narrowband signals of the reference signal (x(n)) outputted from the time delay unit; a coefficient generation unit to calculate an interference signal prediction coefficient (w(n)) by calculating correlation between the new reference signal outputted from the normalizer and error signal; and an FIR filter to generate a predicted feedback signal (y′(n)) by performing convolution between the reference signal from the time delay unit and prediction coefficient from the coefficient generation unit, and inputting the predicted feedback signal into the subtractor.

    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for blocking transmission/reception over-input in a mobile communication repeater are provided to provide a stable service to a mobile terminal which normally performs call communication through a different frequency channel without interruption and degradation of speech quality. A reception antenna(100) receives a signal to be relayed from a base station(mobile station) of a shadow area. A BPF(Band Pass Filter)(110) filters the signal received through the reception antenna(100). An LNA(Low Noise Amplifier)(120) receives the filtered signal and amplifies it. A down-converter(130) receives the amplified signal and down-converts it into an IF(Intermediate Frequency) band. An input monitoring unit(140) measures input signal levels of each frequency channel and transmits the results. A controller(150) compares input signal level values of each frequency channel with a pre-set level value, and if an input signal level is determined as an abnormally high input for more than a certain time, the controller(150) controls such that a corresponding frequency channel is attenuated or cut off, and transfers the result. A channel filter unit(160) selectively attenuates or cuts off the entire usage band or a signal of the abnormal corresponding frequency channel. An up-converter(170) up-converts the IF signal whose entire use band or particular frequency channel was attenuated or cut off into a high frequency band. A power amplifier(180) amplifies the signal of the up-converter(170). When an abnormal over-input signal is detected, a state monitoring unit(190) reports the detection result to a corresponding base station in real time. A transmission antenna(200) transmits the signal amplified by the power amplifier(180) or the result detected by the state monitoring unit(190) to the base station.
