Abstract: PURPOSE: A bacillus sp. CNU-BA-2 strain is provided to promote growth of plants, to prevent lawn grass pathogen, and to use as nature-friendly biological agricultural chemical. CONSTITUTION: A Bacillus sp. CNU-BA-2 strain (KCTC 12330BP) has antibacterial activity about at least one lawn grass pathogen selected from a group comprising Rhizoctonia solani AG2-2 (IV), Rhizoctonia solani AG2-2 (IIIB), curvularia lunata, colletotrichum caudatum, and pythium ultimum. A composition for lawn grass pathogen prevention comprises the bacillus sp. CNU-BA-2 strain or its culture medium as an active ingredient. A manufacturing method of the composition comprises the step of culturing the bacillus sp. CNU-BA-2 strain. A method of preventing the lawn grass pathogen comprises the step of sprinkling an effective amount of the bacillus sp. CNU-BA-2 strain on the grass or soil.
