Abstract: PURPOSE: A coloring composition and a color filter using the same are provided to improve development characteristic and to prevent coloring compositions from being remaining on the non-printed part of a substrate after development. CONSTITUTION: A coloring composition includes a coloring agent, a resin, and a monomer. The monomer includes a multifunctional monomer with an acidic group. The coloring composition satisfies one of the following requirements: the coloring composition further includes an organic solvent, and the coloring agent includes a salt forming compound by the reaction of an anionic dye and a resin with a cationic group as a side chain; the coloring composition further includes a photo-polymerization initiator; and the coloring composition further includes the photo-polymerization initiator, a solvent, and an antioxidant agent.
