    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for receiving data and a system for transmitting data are provided to execute proper data evaluation by using an evaluation level in evaluating a symbol value for data transmission. CONSTITUTION: A system for transmitting data forms a single-way ring LAN by accessing a plurality of nodes by using a ring topology. Data transmission apparatuses(1a-1f), as the nodes, are respectively connected one another by transmission paths(80a-80f) in the shape of a ring, and data are transmitted through the transmission paths(80a-80f) in a single way. In the system, a MOST(Media Oriented Systems Transport) protocol is used as an information communication protocol. In this case, data are transmitted in a frame-by-frame basis, and frames are sequentially transmitted in the single way between the data transmission apparatuses(1a-1f). In other words, the first data transmission apparatus(1a) outputs data to the second data transmission apparatus(1b) through the first transmission path(80a). The second data transmission apparatus(1b) outputs data to the third data transmission apparatus(1c) through the second transmission path(80b).
