Abstract: PURPOSE: A polypeptide having a function of flowering delay or growth suppression and a polynucleotide encoding the same are provided to determine harvest time and to develop plants. CONSTITUTION: A polypeptide with a function of flowering delay and/or growth suppression contains: a polypeptide comprising entire amino acid sequence of sequence number 2; a polypeptide having substantial part of the amino acid sequence of sequence number 2; and a similar polypeptide thereof. A method for producing a plant with phenotype of flowering delay comprises: a step of overexpressing a gene having a base sequence of sequence number 1 or similar sequence thereof; and a step of selecting a plant in which flowering delay phenotype is induced.
