Abstract: PURPOSE: An ion pump power control system and method are provided to reduce an installation space by controlling a plurality of ion pumps with one power supply unit. CONSTITUTION: A shunt resistor(402) serially connects to a high voltage supply line between each ion pump and a power source. The shunt resistor detects a low current flowing in each ion pump. A high pressure relay(412) turns on and off the drive of each ion pump by serially being connected to the shunt resistor. An individual slave board(520) is connected to the shunt resistor and the high pressure relay. A master board(580) is connected to the individual slave board and controls the individual slave board.

Abstract: 본 발명은 이온 펌프(sputter ion pump)의 전원 공급을 제어하는 이온 펌프 전원 제어 장치(ion pump power supply controller)에 관한 것으로 보다 자세하게는 최소 8개 이상의 고전압 출력부를 제공함과 동시에 각각의 출력을 콘트롤하고 전류를 읽을 수 있도록 하는 전원 제어 장치를 제공하는 데에 있다. 본 발명에 의한 전원 제어 장치를 사용하면 다수의 이온 펌프를 구동, 제어할 수 있으므로 경제적 손실을 줄이는데 효과가 있다.
