Abstract: A beam line apparatus for analyzing specimen structure and a gripper used for the same are provided to analyze the structure of a specimen by detecting an X-ray image signal diffracted by the specimen. A beam line apparatus for analyzing specimen structure includes a liquid nitrogen container(10), a cassette(20), a robot(30), a chuck(40), a gun(50), a nozzle(60), and a detector(65). The liquid nitrogen container contains liquid nitrogen. The cassette is fixed inside the liquid nitrogen container, containing specimen holders. The robot moves the specimen holder to a gripper according to a control signal. The chuck fixes the specimen holder moved by the robot. The gun radiates X-ray of predetermined wavelength to a specimen in the specimen holder. The nozzle injects the liquid nitrogen to the specimen. The detector detects the X-ray diffracted from the specimen.

Abstract: A beam line apparatus for structure specimen analysis and a gripper used for the same are provided to prevent damage to a specimen and to increase safety for an experimenter. A gripper used for a beam line apparatus for specimen structure analysis comprises as follows. A bracket(91) is connected to a robot arm. A body(92) is fitted to the bracket which is equipped with first and second air ports(92c,92d). A cylinder(93) is connected to the air ports. A piston(94) embedded in the cylinder moves vertically. A cam(95) is fitted to the upper end of a piston rod connected with the piston. First and second levers(196,296) are hinged to the cylinder in the middle. First and second elastic members(197,297) are interposed between the inner surfaces of ends of the first and second levers and the cylinder. First and second opening/closing pieces(198,298) grip a specimen holder. And, a sealing rod(99) is elastically connected to the cylinder.
